DESCRIPTION:Our quarterly Focus Summits presented by CaroMont Health\, highlight specific areas which impact business and economic development. On March 7\, we feature an Education Focus Summit\, with a panel discussion featuring experts in the field.\n\n\n\nIt has been said that nothing is more important to America's economic future than the development of a workforce with the skills and knowledge required to compete in the global economy. The panelists will each speak to what their organization is doing to prepare students to meet the demands of the workforce\, how the business community can be a part of that\, and what  challenges they face.\n\n\n\nPanelists are:\n\nTerri DeBoo\, chair\, Workplace Issues Committee\, Charlotte Chamber \n\nJeff Booker\, superintendent\, Gaston County Schools\n\nMel Collins\, vice president Human Resources\, Pharr Yarns\n\nDr. Pat Skinner\, president\, Gaston College\n\n\n\nIf there is inclement weather and Gaston County Schools are delayed this event will be canceled.
