DESCRIPTION:Junior Leadership Gaston is an exciting program for high school juniors designed to develop informed\, committed\, and qualified young people capable of providing dynamic leadership in their schools and in the Gaston County as they grow and mature into adulthood.\n\n \n\nPurpose\n\n\n	Identify and select potential leaders from students in Gaston County\n	Stimulate students' awareness of needs within Gaston County\n	Develop a spirit of cooperation among students\n	Create a sense of understanding between students and adult community leaders\n	Identify opportunities for community involvement.\n\n \n\nCurriculum\n\nIn addition to Orientation and Graduation\, Junior Leadership Gaston Class of 2017\, will meet from September through May\, to learn about pertinent topics as designed by the Junior Leadership Gaston Advisory Board. Class day topics include: History of Gaston County\, Business and Industry\, Education\, Government\, Public Safety and Healthcare.
