DESCRIPTION:With the help of the Community Outreach Program scholarship\, the Gastonia chapter of the Mastocytosis Society will host its Semi-Annual Support Conference on April 18 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Gastonia Conference Center in Gastonia\, North Carolina. This Support Conference exists to help support those struggling with the often-debilitating challenges of Mast Cell Disorder and Mastocytosis. Physicians with expertise in treating Mast Cell disorders will educate regional providers and patients on practices\, complications\, and other specifics of the disease. Patients will have an opportunity to connect with other patients to help continue the dialogue about this often misunderstood and misdiagnosed disease. Due to the sensitivity of many Mast Cell and Mastocytosis patients please do not wear perfume or cologne. This event is free and open to the public. Parking is also free of charge.
