About Us

Belmont Trolley is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving the rich history of rail transportation while bringing an exciting new experience to Belmont, NC. We aim to restore historic trolleys for community use, creating an interactive museum and event space that celebrates our past and inspires the future. Through partnerships with local organizations and UNC Charlotte, we’re developing sustainable technology to power our trolleys and provide engaging STEM and cultural programs for all ages. Join us as we work to connect Belmont Abbey College and downtown Belmont by rail, fostering economic growth and community engagement.
